Leaves are made up of leaflets. The bark is smooth. The inflorescence is a large terminal panicle, to 30 cm long, white or greenish-white, sessile, bisexual flowers in small 15-30 flowered heads. The fruit is a flat, papery pod. A. procera was reported to be reproductively mature after approximately three years.

Planting and care
White siris is native to moist deciduous and semi-evergreen hill forests, swamp forests, and lowland savanna woodlands in Asia from northern India through southeast Asia. Direct sowing in the field has proved more successful. Plants can be propagated quite successfully by a stem or root cuttings. In case of line sowing, 2-3 m spacing between lines should be adopted. The seedlings are spaced about 0.5m in the lines.
